Q: The tag on my part has two numbers. Do I need one of these numbers when calling in to Customer Service to identify the part?
A: Many 1996 and later applications commonly use a tag to help identify the finished good during OEM production. If your tag has more than one row of numbers starting with a letter, the bottom P number would assist the Customer Service Representative in correctly identifying your part. Our Customer Service department can be reached at (888) 381-8324.

Q: Do your engines come with new pistons and rings, etc.?
A: Our remanufactured engines come with new pistons, new rings, new timing components, new freeze plugs, gasket sets, lifters, rod cam, and main bearings. The PROFormance Powertrain longblock will have cylinder head(s) on it but no sheet metal (i.e. no valve covers, no oil pan, no timing cover, etc.).

Q: Are your engines re-tested running before shipping?
A: Our engines are tested on a Sim test machine that simulates operation. The machine checks oil pressure and flow, compression, pressure differential, lifter rotation, timing, and the in general appearance of the engine. At test, they check the bolt holes and add the appropriate gasket set. Engines must be pressure primed and must have a new pick up tube and screen installed with them. If applicable the oil cooler and pressure relief valve must be changed as well.
